The secondhand equipment listed on these pages is all sold in working order, unless otherwise stated.

We offer a 3 months return to base warranty on used equipment, from installation date.  The warranty excludes lamp, piston seals, pistons and check valves. 

In the event that we are unable to repair the equipment we would, at our option, offer an equivalent item as a replacement or a refund of the purchase price.

SpectraPhysics 100 UV Detector

In case you do not recognise this detector, it is the Linear 200, badged in Spectra Physics colours. For many years this was the most sensitive UV detector on the market, and still compares favourably with the best available even now. The lamp and cell are mounted externally, so can be accessed by removing a small cover on the left side of the instrument, making it very easy to service. We keep many spare parts in stock and know these detectors very well.

It is not the cheapest detector available, but is still available brand new, at a cost of £4795!

Kontron 735 UV Detector

A variable wavelength UV Detector from Kontron with manual adjustment. This is a low-cost UV detector which is not very sensitive!  However it makes a good UV monitor.

Kontron 432 UV

This is a very well built UV detector. It is fitted with a deuterium lamp but does not have a tungsten lamp. It is claimed to go to 600nm, but the sensitivity in the visible region (above 400nm) is not good. However it is very sensitive in the UV, Will be sold with a new lamp. We have a Kontron 420 pump and either a 465 or 360 autosampler, so you could have this as part of a complete system that would work well and look good together.

Perkin Elmer LC90J UV Detector

This detector is UV only, but both sensitive and very easy to use! It has been in use in our lab and behaved faultlessly!   Is fitted with a Deuterium lamp, and equilibrates really fast so you can be up and running very quickly.
